Central to everything we do, is our determination to level up our town with better infrastructure, more jobs, new technology and brilliant opportunities.
For too long Harlow was ignored and left-behind. Many areas in our town, including the town centre, were left run down. Jobs were being taken out of Harlow and our young people were being denied life changing opportunities.
That's why we've worked so hard to transform our infrastructure, create new jobs and deliver new technology. The Prime Minister has been clear that levelling up and uniting our country is the mission of this people’s government and that is exactly what we are doing.
Regenerating our town centre
Our town centre has been in desperate need of regeneration for many years, but sadly Harlow's Labour Council has dithered and delayed - meaning nothing get's done.
That's why our Conservative Government has announced huge funding to finally get it done and restore pride in our town. Up to £25m is available to regenerate our town centre and deliver a number of other projects.
£1m has already been granted to kickstart that regeneration.
New Junction 7a
For far too long our roads have been gridlocked. Too many residents waste so much time sat in traffic caused by the lack of accessibility from the M11.
But this is changing. Work on the new Junction 7a from the M11 is underway - a £50m project that will massively reduce congestion in our town.
Enterprise Zone and Science Park
The Government have invested huge sums of money to create the Enterprise Zone and Science Park.
This investment has created thousands of new local jobs and has massively boosted our town's economy.
Restoring our cycle paths
Thanks to tirelessly campaigning from our Conservative County Councillors and Harlow cycling club, our cycle paths will be restored with £200,000 of funding.
The projects will be completed over the coming months and will transform cycling in our town.
