The flag of Ukraine has been raised outside the Civic Centre as the town continues to show its support for the country and Ukrainian people.
The flag was raised ahead of Harlow Council's Cabinet meeting on Thursday 3 March 2022.
In a show of united political support for Ukraine, Councillor Russell Perrin, Leader of Harlow Council, and Councillor Chris Vince, Leader of the Opposition on Harlow Council, recently issued a statement of support for those affected by Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
In response to demand from residents wishing to make donations of essential supplies to help Ukrainian people, the council is looking to open a local donation point at the Civic Centre. Further information will follow.
There are lots of other ways too that local people can help to ensure aid benefits those directly affected by the ongoing conflict:
Fundraiser for Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB)
Global Support Fund (Set up by the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK)
